There have long been wireless baby monitors that can allow a parent to keep an ear on a child from a different room, but not until today has there been an affective method to do this with humanity's other love: food. This intuitive product from Oregon Scientific works quite a bit like the aforementioned baby monitor. It consists of two parts, a wireless probe (That is left in the meat), and a reciever. The reciever gives temperature updates in an audible voice, in the language of the user's choosing. The alerts include "almost ready," "ready," "overcooked," and "out of range." For a busy chef, the temperature of the meat (particularly if its outside on an outdoor grill) is no longer a concern.
